Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as handing out bulletins,  or serving food, or other ministries such as healthcare and witnessing teams.

Children and Youth

Creating a firm foundation for children and youth is an important responsibility of the church.   Anthony Grove Baptist Church has multiple ministries dedicated to our younger generation. These ministries include AWANAS for children ages 3 through 8th grade.  IMPACT is our youth program for middle school through high school. We have a Children’s Church during the regular worship on Sunday,  as well as, nursery for infant care and Wee Kids for toddlers.  Note:  You may require a background check to assist in these ministries.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats, is maintained by a group of volunteers.  We also maintain an active Facebook page for additional church communication.  We have a very active sound and PowerPoint ministry, as well as, someone video recording our sermons.

The Brotherhood ministry builds up and helps the men of the church become spiritual leaders.  It provides an avenue for volunteer work in the community.  Women’s ministry is full of fellowship, fun and special outings designed to help the women of the church bond and grow spiritually.  The Discipleship ministry seeks to help believers grow deeper in their walk with Christ through one-on-one discipleship mentoring, and through small group discipleship studies.  Let’s not forget the Goodtimers ministry which is comprised of senior adults promoting fun, fellowship and encouragement.

Prayer Partners

Prayer cannot be underestimated.  Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, before the morning services, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Partners team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and any other prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the Prayer Partners comes together for a special time of prayer.
